Gemstone & Certification Policy
Every Moraebi gemstone is independently tested and documented before it reaches you. This is what that process actually covers — see our Natural & Untreated page for what “natural” and “untreated” mean in the first place.
Independent Certification
Every Moraebi centre gemstone is independently certified.
Depending on the gemstone, its value and the testing required, Moraebi works with recognised Indian and international gemological laboratories, including appropriate GJEPC/IIGJ laboratories, GIA, Gübelin Gem Lab, SSEF, GRS and other recognised laboratories.
The issuing laboratory is clearly identified on the individual certificate.
Standard gemstone identification and treatment-status certification is included in the gemstone price.
Geographic Origin
Geographic origin is stated where supported by appropriate independent laboratory documentation.
An additional geographic-origin opinion can be arranged on request and at an additional charge, subject to the gemstone and laboratory being suitable for such testing.
Origin is an expert laboratory opinion rather than a claim independently determined by Moraebi.
The Exact Gemstone
The gemstone you see, compare and select is the gemstone you receive.
We do not substitute it with a representative gemstone of similar colour or weight.
Where possible, we show shortlisted gemstones in natural light during your consultation and explain their differences in ordinary language.
